On the Feast of Pentecost in 1540, Paschal Baylon was born in a small Spanish town. His parents were poor peasants, but they helped Paschal develop a deep love for the Blessed Sacrament. After he became a Franciscan Brother he served as a porter and answered the door for all that came to the monastery. Reading this story can encourage us to follow in the footsteps of St Paschal whose humble service to others was a reflection of his great love for the Blessed Sacrament.
