This story occurred in 1407 when two brothers made their way to a monastery gatehouse to ask to be admitted into the reformed Dominicans. One of the brothers, later known as Fra Angelico, would work hard to overcome many obstacles to perfect himself as an artist. Many of his paintings are still seen today.
