This is a devotion to Our Sorrowful Mother. The Via Matris and the other prayers date back to the Middle Ages. The devotion itself - devotion to Mary’s Sorrows - is as old as the Catholic Church. May the day be not far distant when all the world will return to Christ through Mary - Ad Jesum per Mariam!
