FAQ

About us: Over the years many religious, experienced Catholic home schooling families, and Catholic publishers and businesses have helped us to find TRULY CATHOLIC materials and we would like to share these materials with you.

There are many, many Catholic resources that are truly Catholic - no watering down or vagueness or Catholic in name only. We started to share these resources with family and friends and heard over and over again, "Where did you find this?" Then we started to share names of resources that many homeschoolers had shared with us. There was a problem when our friends went home and did not have time to contact all the companies that they were interested in. So, we finally realized that there was a need for a traditional Catholic website and resource for families.

Our name: Our full name is "El Camino Real de la Santa Cruz (The Royal Way of the Holy Cross)" from the Imitation of Christ. "Behold the cross is all, and in dying to thyself all consists, and there is no other way to life and to true internal peace but the holy way of the cross and of daily mortification".

Our goal: To provide traditional Catholic materials to assist others to grow in wisdom, grace, and age before God and man by offering Catholic Textbooks that impart a true Catholic Education.

The Magisterium of the Church teaches:

"It is necessary not only that religious instruction be given to the young at certain fixed times, but also that every other subject taught, be permeated with Christian piety. If this is wanting, if this sacred atmosphere does not pervade and warm the hearts of masters and scholars alike, little good can be expected from any kind of learning, and considerable harm will often be the consequence."

Pope Leo XII encyclical Militantis Ecclesiae, August 1, 1897 reiterated by Pope Pius XI encyclical Divini Illius Magistri, December 31, 1929
